My Heartfelt Gratitude to the Wonderful Fans of Twilight Comics

As I close out another year and look towards the future, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the past 30 years and express my gratitude to all of the incredible people who have made Twilight Comics what it is today.

I am so thankful for my parents, who have always supported and believed in me. Their love and guidance have meant everything to me. I wish you were still here, Dad.

To all of my team members throughout the years – Tim Rank, who started it all with me; Brent Murphy, my gateway into Fantasy Books and comics retailing; Jamie, Becky, Scott, Julie, Ron, Doug, Zak, Jessica, Holley, Dave, Serena, Mark, Greg, Al, Tom, Drew, Nick, Audrey, Alyssa, Micheal, Joe, Jordan, Anna, Rhiannon – Spending the better part of your twenties here not only transformed the store for the better, but your friendship, input, advice, and willingness to call me out when necessary have left me forever changed and so, so grateful. Your brief but much needed tenure as manager came at a time that was so important that I can never thank you enough; Jade, Gwen, Tyler, Kate, Sammie, Derrick, Derek, Christopher, Chelsea, Mark, and Kip – I am grateful to each of you for your hard work, dedication, and support. You have all played a vital role in the success of Twilight Comics.

I wanted to give a special aside to Tim Waters, who has been a vital member of the team since nearly the beginning. His dedication and hard work have made him the most important, loyal, and long-lived employee, and I couldn’t run the store without him. The last few years have been especially challenging for me, mentally and physically, and I haven’t been able to be at the store hardly at all. Thank you, Tim, for everything you do.

I am forever grateful to my amazing wife, Shannon, for her unwavering love and support. She has been my constant source of strength and comfort through all the ups and downs of life. Thank you, my love, for being my rock and my anchor.

But it’s not just family and on-the-payroll employees who have made Twilight Comics what it is. Every single person who has browsed my shelves, shopped with me, helped me move, assisted with inventory, caught a shoplifter, or told somebody about the store – you are all just as important to me. I am also grateful to those who have challenged me when I was wrong and helped me become better, both personally and as a store owner. Thank you for your support and for being a part of my journey.

As I move into the future, I am filled with gratitude for the past and hope for what’s to come. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of Twilight Comics. Here’s to many more years of magical memories.

Wishing you all a happy and healthy 2023.
